My order didn't ship for 8 days and was apparently shipped to the wrong address. It has been three weeks now of being ignored, blamed for Purenovaâs error, and then ignored again. After trying to be patient and just getting ignored, I filed a claim with my bank today to try to get my money back. This is unbelievable!
What a thoughtfully designed and effective bottle filter. I used this quite extensively while my RO filter was out of commission. The tap TDS read about 300 - after going through this, it was about 50-70. Quite a significant reduction, certainly. It also improved the taste quite a bit. I generally find tap water unpalatable and won't drink it unless I'm going to die from thirst. This is quite the game changer. I also had the chance to use it while on a road trip, and I liked not having to bring water with me since I could just fill this up wherever I stopped along the way.
This bottle is pretty big and does not store a lot of water. But it has been great for hiking in isolated areas where you have to treat any water you find. Using is really straightforward, though I've found out you have to fill it quite a bit below the max fill line if you don't want to spill half of the water out.
Overall however, this has been a great product to carry with me.
I used this for out of the country .
This water bottle is a game changer. This is something I imagined as a kid. When I went camping, I pictured being able to just scoop up some water and drinking it from a cup. This process is a lot more than the magical cup I imagined as a kid and requires a little bit of effort, but it certainly is a game changer. You can filter 24 oz of water in about 10 seconds. If you don't want to lug around a heavy bottle of water, you can just carry this and purify your water when you are ready to drink! It's also a great idea to have around in case of a natural disaster.
When compared to other water bottle purification systems- this one makes sense based on cost. Granted, there are many other cheaper models from a wide variety of brands that all claim the same results but this one is definitely worth it. The water quality is excellent and tasty. The flow of purification is acceptable and it filters amounts sustainable for proper hydration on hiking or camping expeditions. Use caution and common sense for the source of water youâll choose to filter. Press filters like these are mostly for removing solid contaminants and not intended to âpurifyâ or âsterilizeâ your drinking water. Viruses and some microbes could still be present in filtered water so be sure to filter water from cold, clear and preferably fast-moving water sources that are not likely contaminated with chemicals or sewage.
I like the size of this bottle but I wouldnât want to rely on this for long excursions in the wild. It isnât that itâs heavy but it isnât very lightweight per se and so I feel most confident keeping this with me as a travel companion on short camps, vacationing abroad or on hikes in places where fresh drinking water isnât readily available.
I used this purifier water bottle and it seems to work just fine. I have no way of testing the water though. Using it was easy. You have to have a bit of muscle to remove the bottom part from the top, but once you get the seal to release it comes apart just fine. The water gets pushed through the purifying system and you drink from the top of the water bottle. The color is exactly the way it look on the listing. I will hopefully get to use this bottle when I go to Brazil later this year.
Neat design. Well made and easy to use. Everyone should have one in their survival kit.
I ordered the PURENOVA WowPress 24 oz Water Purifier Bottle (Light Gray)- Filter for Hiking, Camping, Survival. I am very impressed with the quality built of this purifier water bottle, I hope to never need to use this but it is definitely something to have "in case of emergency". My family are avid hikers and rock climbers, so I am so glad to be able to own one of these purifier bottles and they will be packing this in their packs. Read the instructions and practice, great to have.
My feelings were mixed while testing the Purenova WowPress, but found it to be an overall good water filter.
Pulling the filter and cup out isn't the easiest thing to do. If younger or older people use this as their only access to clean drinking water they might have a little trouble.
I'm used to letting the water work through the filter naturally, with gravity I guess you'd say, so forcing the water through the filter makes me worry that something I don't want to ingest is going to slip thru. On a positive note, you do get filtered water much faster with the Purenova WowPress.
It's a bit bulkier and heavier than other water filters of this type and for me, if I'm backpacking, every oz counts. Still, it isn't bad though.
I did taste test the water out of my kitchen faucet as well as the hose outside and I could tell the difference. The kitchen water does taste a little better, however, the hose water tastes much better.
Lastly, this product is a bit more expensive than other filters I've tried and currently own. Personally I would use this as a backup and definitely pull it out if I needed filtered water fast, in the case of a medical emergency and had to have clean water quickly in order to wash a wound. This being the case I do recommend it.
